Note:  As most of you know, it was an eventful summer at Slippery Rock Baptist. After months of prayer and deliberation, Pastor Barnhouse has surrendered to God’s call to lead our mission work in Zambia, Africa. While we greatly miss the Barnhouse family, we are excited to see how God will use them in spreading the Gospel throughout Zambia and southern Africa.  You will soon be able to follow the Barnhouse ministry at www.visionzambia.com. 

While Pastor Barnhouse was wrestling with the decision to move to Zambia, Assistant Pastor John Milton was already answering God’s call to become a Head Pastor, and this summer he accepted the position at Sparlingville Baptist church in Sparlingville, MI! 

It was exciting to see God move in the life of our church, but it has also been a trying time as we sought to replace our entire pastoral staff. We praise God for bringing us Kevin Hazelett as our new Youth Director! Kevin and his wife Sarah have been on staff for almost two months, and they have already made an impact in the lives of our youth!
